We Study Tools.

Obsessively.

This site is built on five years of dedicated research into tools, tool design, and ergonomics. How a tool feels in your hand matters as much as what's on its spec sheet.

Where We're Coming From

We bring five years of structured, independent study to the design, marketing, and use of tools and accessories. We go beyond evaluating the tool itself, scrutinizing every component in the system — from battery behavior to charger quality and blade or bit to chuck materials — with a core focus on ergonomics: grip geometry, weight distribution, vibration, handle angle, and trigger placement — because we believe performance gaps often lie in the accessories, not the tool.

Our goal is to help beginners and DIYers make reliable, high-value decisions through deep, evidence-based analysis of specs, ergonomics, and performance data. We're transparent about what we don't have: we don't have job-site experience or a contractor's background. What we offer instead is rigorous, systematic research — and we believe that's a gap worth filling.

What We Do Differently

Evidence-Led

Every claim is traceable. We cite sources, reference testing data, and distinguish between what the specs say and what real users report.

No Filler

We skip the fluff and get straight to specs, trade-offs, and honest comparisons — so you can make a confident decision as a beginner or DIYer without wasting time.

Ergonomics Focused

We score grip comfort, vibration levels, balance, and trigger feel — not just RPM and torque numbers. Your body is part of the tool system.

Honest Trade-offs

If a low-priced tool outperforms a high-priced one in the tasks most Beginners and DIYers actually do, we'll say that plainly — regardless of commission rates.

Technical guides — motor types, battery chemistry, clutch mechanics, fastener anatomy, drill bit coatings

How We Make Money

Transparency is non-negotiable. Here's the plain version:

We earn commissions through affiliate programs when you purchase products through our links. This does not affect the price you pay, and it does not influence our recommendations. We link to the right retailer for each brand — not whoever pays us the most. Our editorial process runs independently of our affiliate relationships.
